Like the Twinpower XT-RB series, the Stradic GTM-RB takes advantage of a newly designed rear drag system, which out performs and requires less maintenance than many other drag systems available. The GMT-RB's double-handle and improved Hyper Gears provide super-smooth operation, with a quick retrieve ratio of 6:1.

It was always going to be a hard task to replace the original Stradic GTM reels with newcomers offering significant improvements. Retaining the familiar, much-loved pearl-white body cosmetics, Shimano have achieved this in style with the Stradic GTM RC range, including the added bonus of a 1500 model alongside all-new 2500, 3000 and 4000 versions. Features include XT-7 body and rotor, AR-C Spool, Zinc Diecast Gear, Cone Type bail plus single anodised cold forged alu spool with XT-7 spare. As with the TPCi4, the 4000 spool is a new shallow version with equal line capacity to the 3000.

The Exage's outstanding beauty can't fail to impress. Supplied with a strong and light aluminium cold-forged spool, and an additional spare spool, the Exage RA has 3 Shimano AR-B ball bearings and a Shimano roller bearing that delivers an impressively smooth performance and superb cranking power. The AR-B bearings are resistant to corrosion and oxidisation, even in most extreme conditions and ensure the Exage RA will maintain its peak performance for a long time to come.

Just as with its front drag equivalents, Shimano’s engineers have given Exage RB rear drag reels a full makeover for 2009. Stunning as the new double-handled models are, this was far more than a mere cosmetic exercise. Now equipped with Zinc Diecast Drive Gear and CAP type bail arm and supplied with an SA CF spare spool as standard, an extra S SUS ball bearing has been added, bringing the total to four plus roller bearing for an even smoother, longer lasting performance

A new rear drag model for 2008; this robust and reliable range of reels have a versatile 5.2:1 gear ratio and a 9 Ball Bearing equivalent performance, making it a reel that will suit most aspects, whether it be feeder, float, silver fish or commercial carp. Smooth and powerful but great looking too, the range features a multi-disc rear fighting drag system, a biomechanical handle for power and a cold forged push button spool (2 spare cold forged, single anodised spools included) for instant spool swaps.

At this price, you can't buy better! The superb design of the Catana RA is matched only by its' fantastic features. 2 ball bearings and 1 roller bearing, in combination with 3D CAD-CAM designed gears give a smoothness that you usually find on much more expensive reels. A strong aluminium spool comes as standard, along with an additional extra light XT7 graphite spool. The progressive multi-disk rear drag can be adjusted over a wide range of settings for very different uses, from light match fishing to heavy spinning.
