Our principle design criterion was to produce a sinking mainline braid. When the sample spools arrived from the braid manufacturer we sent them for bench testing. The tests revealed an unexpected bonus - incredible shear/abrasion resistance.
Mainline braids generally have very poor shear/abrasion resistance. Bullet has amazingly high abrasion resistance "at least as high as any abrasion resistant shock leader material". Bullet Braid has ultimate abrasion resistance for mainline use, shock leaders, rubbing leaders and super tough hooklinks, Bullet Braid will combat the most ruthless snags.

Gardner GR500s is 20% heavier than water and is guaranteed to sink. Most sinking braids have neutral buoyancy, GR500s is a true sinking braid, which continually gives you direct pick up to the hook. Specially designed for all round coarse angling applications this version is spun with higher density strands at 12 plats per centimetre, making it a neutral to sinking buoyancy. The combined effect of the Antares round shape and an overall finish which is much smoother than many braids on the market makes casting more effortless.

This low diameter, round premium braid yields exceptionally high breaking strains compared to nylon monofilament yet remains incredibly supple within stretch (less than 4%) enhancing casting, bite detection (even at long range) and control of terminal tackle. Antares Special Dyneema is made from high performance polyethylene fibres, noted for it's superior abrasion resistance and high knot strength whilst the fibres are platted at a remarkable 8 per centimetre to ensure minimum absorption of water. Due to it's softness, Antares Special Dyneema is less prone to line twist and on waters affected by flow or undertow.
