Our principle design criterion was to produce a sinking mainline braid. When the sample spools arrived from the braid manufacturer we sent them for bench testing. The tests revealed an unexpected bonus - incredible shear/abrasion resistance.
Mainline braids generally have very poor shear/abrasion resistance. Bullet has amazingly high abrasion resistance "at least as high as any abrasion resistant shock leader material". Bullet Braid has ultimate abrasion resistance for mainline use, shock leaders, rubbing leaders and super tough hooklinks, Bullet Braid will combat the most ruthless snags.

TB Spod Braid has been specifically developed for heavy duty bait rocket and spod work. Incorporating ultra strong bonded Dyneema filaments with a breaking strain of over 30lbs, TB Spod Braid is incredibly tough and hard wearing and can be safely used without a shock leader for all but long range casting with very heavy spods. The tight weave and low diameter allows smooth, extreme range casting with minimal wind knots and tangles.
The buoyant fluorescent yellow filaments ensure the braid is highly visible in all conditions – this can prove invaluable when positioning rods around the spodded area, preventing tangles and crossovers.
Care should be taken when casting heavy spods withbraid. ALWAYS ensure the clutch is screwed up tight & cannot slip. For long range work a leather finger guard is recommended.

High strength, faster sinking, lower diameter, smoother casting... finally there is a true sinking braid with all these qualities that will stand up to the rigours of big fish angling.


Faster sinking - 40% faster than GR500s and many other sinking braids.
Lies flush to the lake bed, genuinely hugging the bottom, for the most subtle line lay. This also helps to avoid problems with undertow line drag.
More sensitive - reduced stretch of approximately 4% (compared to 5-6% on standard braided lines and over 20% on many nylon monofilament lines) giving you better bite indication and improved contact with the fish, especially at long range.
Dyneema® fibres provide the best possible linear strength with the lowest diameter and also offer better abrasion resistance than other braids, and better resistance to ultra-violet light than normal copolymer monofilament lines. The 15lb is only 0.24mm with the 22lb a mere 0.30mm!

Kevlar® braided over-wrap adds density for the fastest possible sinking and increased toughness.
Teflon® coating gives even further protection against wear and tear, for long lasting performance.

Specially designed for all round coarse angling applications this version is spun with higher density strands at 12 plats per centimetre, making it a neutral to sinking buoyancy. The combined effect of the Antares round shape and an overall finish which is much smoother than many braids on the market makes casting more effortless.

This low diameter, round premium braid yields exceptionally high breaking strains compared to nylon monofilament yet remains incredibly supple within stretch (less than 4%) enhancing casting, bite detection (even at long range) and control of terminal tackle. Antares Special Dyneema is made from high performance polyethylene fibres, noted for it's superior abrasion resistance and high knot strength whilst the fibres are platted at a remarkable 8 per centimetre to ensure minimum absorption of water. Due to it's softness, Antares Special Dyneema is less prone to line twist and on waters affected by flow or undertow.
